August 2003 Show
Welden is a Sacramento favorite.
A master of painting, Larry Welden for the past fifty years,
continues his tranquil use of the paintbrush. The delicate and
fluid application of his selected substrate offers a sensitive
view of water, mountains, skies or a high valley street. Welden
is salient and contemplative. In painting he applies the
physical qualities inherent in watercolor paper or canvas
allowing the spontaneity of his brush to weave abstractively
throughout his works.
