I paint in watercolor, acrylic -- on paper and canvas. Painting on-location is followed up in the studio, finishing on-location paintings as well as re-doing or working from outdoor sketches.
Landscape painting is my main concern. Landscape in conjunction with outdoor composition is also of interest to me. Most of my works start in a very fluid fashion. I use watercolor, analyn dyes, inks, gouache, acrylics in singular technique or combine them for mixed media application. My main subjects most often are (as John Marin Said) the "big shapes" or "big forms" in nature: land, sky, water. Larry Welden |
